Educational Initiative

Chess Learning Institute is an educational initiative using chess as a structured learning framework to strengthen children’s academic, social, and cognitive development.
For decades, chess-based learning has been used successfully in Danish schools to support concentration, mathematical thinking, planning, and collaboration.
Chess Learning institute builds on this experience and brings together a set of structured programs that help schools integrate chess as a powerful learning tool — not to create chess champions, but to help children become stronger learners.
Chess Works in Education

Chess can be a uniquely powerful learning tool because it combines structure, strategy, and play.
When children engage with chess-based learning activities, they practice skills that are essential for both academic success and personal development.
Through structured chess activities students learn to:
• concentrate for longer periods
• think ahead and plan strategies
• recognize patterns and logical relationships
• reflect on their decisions
• collaborate and discuss solutions with classmates
The result is a learning experience that is both challenging and motivating.
Our Core Programs
The Chess Learning Institute brings together a set of structured educational programs that use chess as a framework for learning and development in schools.
Each program focuses on different aspects of children’s growth — from strengthening mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills, to developing concentration, collaboration, and learning readiness.
Together, these programs demonstrate how chess can be used not simply as a game, but as a powerful educational tool that supports children’s academic, cognitive, and social development.
