Municipalities
Creating stronger institutions and promoting engagement across larger regions and school systems.

Our methodology requires a different approach at the district or regional level. Municipalities and education authorities face a different challenge than individual schools: implement systemic change without overwhelming teachers, disrupting existing structures, and creating inconsistent outcomes to name a few.
We work with districts and regional education authorities, helping them design and implement chess-based learning across multiple schools. This means developing training pipelines for teachers, coordinating curriculum integration, establishing quality standards, building regional tournaments and communities of practice, and creating measurable benchmarks for success.
We’ve helped to fortify our programs and positively impact teachers through our award, “School Chess Leader of the Year.” Where a teacher is selected each year who has had the most profound impact through our programs, and who is nominated by the students.

Additionally, we have the expertise in planning and coordinating regional chess tournaments. These tournaments have historically had great benefits in promoting cross-collaboration among schools, and promoting a healthier district environment. In our method, we select students from various schools to be a “Playmaster,” where they are tasked with watching over the games and promoting a healthy atmosphere within the tournament. This role creates opportunities for students to succeed and gain experience in leadership roles while simultaneously engaging with peers from across the district – a recipe for success.

We’ve done this in Denmark for over two decades. We know what works at scale, what breaks, and how to adapt implementation to different regional contexts. We can avoid the pitfalls and accelerate the timeline to meaningful, systemic impact.
